UFOs Explained

I recently followed a blog link (sorry, can't remember which blog) over to UFO Maps, ostensibly to witness another nice use of Google Maps. Once I got there, though, my curiosity and desire to procrastinate got the better of me and I wound up following a link over to the National UFO Reporting Center. There I discovered, I think, the real explanation for the continued existence of UFOs:

Some friends and I were sitting outside on our porch drinking margaritas and taking tequila shots and we saw this huge cone-shaped white light to the north of our house. We called a friend, who is a pilot, and asked him what the hell it could be and while I was on the phone with him it turned purple and disappeared.

Now it all makes sense.
