MovablePoster 2.0 Now Available

Matt Bether has released MovablePoster 2.0. What a great improvement over the last version I tried. It still provides NewsGator add-in support, but now sports its own interface so it can be used stand-alone.

Good:

  • Stand-alone use.

  • No longer relies on the HTML-munging post editor in Outlook.

  • Provides real category support, including getting the defined server-side categories.
  • Not so good:

  • No spellchecker.

  • Some issues with controlling post options for converting line breaks.

  • Still suffers from the TypePad time zone problem, so posts show actual-(GMT-actual).
  • Luckily, it includes a feature for quickly and easily sending feedback directly to Mr. Bether.

    Good enough. I'm sold.

    Hi Eric...

Spell checking will be introduced in the next version. Also, Im still trying to get around the TypePad timezone issues in a way that will work for both XMLRPC implementations.

I'm not sure what you mean by "some issues with controlling post options for converting line breaks". Could you please describe this in more detail, either here or on http://www.mattberther.com/forums?

    Thanks!
